A grand demonstration for the first anniversary of the national railway tragedy in Tempi in 2023 is taking place in the center of Thessaloniki.
Thousands of protesters, labor unions, students, schoolchildren, young women have taken to the streets of the city one year after the tragedy in Tempe. The march started from Egnatia at the height of the statue of Venizelos and has reached OSE.

Protesters hold banners that read: “Their profits, our lives. To be held accountable for the crime in Tempe. Stop on precision. Now collective agreements and wage increases”, says the rally’s central poster. “The tears dried up and became rage, this crime should not be covered up” reads the central banner of the demonstration.
A little earlier, distributors of Thessaloniki carried out a motorized march to the statue of Venizelos, where they integrated with the protest rally.
Farmers protesting at the roadblocks in areas of central Macedonia also participate in the gathering.
