The scenes are dramatic which are unfolding at the moment at the site of the fatal train accident in Tempe, on the day of the “black” anniversary.
The parents of the bereaved children with heartbreaking words they express their grief and their anger at the loss of their loved ones.
Relatives of the 57 victims as well as ordinary people visit the scene with tears in their eyes, leaving flowers and demanding justice.
Tragic is the figure of the mother who breaks over the little trees, shouting: “My love, I can’t believe I won’t see you again.. Where are you?”
A little further, the mother of 23-year-old Deni Routsi, one of the 57 victims of the unspeakable tragedy in Tempi, who was on the day of the “black” anniversary at ground zero to honor the memory of her son and ask for justice once again.
“We will fight it to the end. If we do not find justification here, we will find it elsewhere. The killing of our children is unforgivable, a premeditated murder. The guilty will be punished either in Greece or abroad,” she told reporters visibly moved.
57 times the bells rang in the churches of the whole country
Earlier, at 10 in the morning, the bells rang in all the country’s churches in memory of the people who lost their lives unjustly in the Tempe accident.
The bells rang 57 times, as many as the dead of the tragedy, with this move made following a request by the president of the Association of Relatives of Tempo Victims, Maria Karystianou.
