The Measure’s call for interest was published today and concerns the full and free replacement of livestock and the complete reconstruction of stable facilities and rehabilitation of equipment, for those farmers and beekeepers affected by the bad weather Daniel and the devastating fires of July/August 2023.
It is noted that its budget amounts to 45 million euros, while the support amounts up to 100% of the amount of eligible expenses.
In his statement, the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Lefteris Avgenakis, noted, among other things, that the objective of the measure is “to give life back to the livestock farmers and beekeepers who suffered damage from the autumn storms and the mega-fires of the summer” adding that ” the construction of the new facilities will be done with standard designs of stables and all welfare rules will be met and there will be a provision for dealing with flood phenomena. The installation of photovoltaics is also being strengthened with the aim of reducing energy production costs”.
Measure 5.2 will be applied to the Regional Units of Karditsa, Trikala, Larissa and Magnesia of the Region of Thessaly, the area of ​​the Municipality of Domokos of the Regional Unit of Fthiotida, as well as to the Municipalities of Alexandroupoli and Soufli of the Regional Unit of Evros.
