Journalist George Neroutsos passed away yesterday at the age of 68.
George Neroutsos was born in Athens in 1954 and, after completing his studies at the journalism workshop of “ANTENNA”, he started working as a journalist – producer of radio shows, the Media to which he dedicated himself and accompanied him until the end of his life. .
From 1989 to 1991, as a founding member of the Municipal Radio Station of Piraeus “Kanali 1”, he had the production, editing and presentation of the daily show “The good day from the night seems”. From 1990 to 1996 he maintained the daily morning news program “Good morning Athens, good morning Piraeus, good morning Greece” on the frequency “KALLITECHNOUPOLI FM 106.3”. From 1991 to 1997 he produced, edited and presented the daily socio-political show of ERA4 “20 records – 2 whiskeys”. From 1997 to 1999 he was the director of R / S “DIVA FM 106.1”, while from 2001 to 2006 he worked at “ANTENNA FM 97.2”, having the production, editing and presentation of the show “Something is running” . He had also served as program director and news editor at R / S “RYTHMOS FM 94.9”.
For the last 30 years or so he has worked for the Hellenic Radio, as a journalist and radio producer of many shows, in ERA4, ERA SPORTS, ERA2, the First Program of ERA and the Voice of Greece. His latest show, “The Jukebox”, aired every Sunday from 8pm to 10pm, with music and artist interviews, and had a fanatical audience.
“In the long course that George Neroutsos erased, he left an indelible mark on the airwaves, both on the private and public radio of our country. “His characteristic voice, eloquence, ethos and training conquered the listeners, while his colleagues have only good memories of him,” ESIEA said in a statement.
He mourns his family and especially his wife Maria and their only daughter Tina and says goodbye to his distinguished colleague, who accompanied, for a number of years, the audience, with the warm sound of his voice.
The funeral of George Neroutsos will take place in a close family circle.
