In symbolic blockades of entrances to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki members of student associations are moving forward, protesting the imminent passing of the bill on the establishment of non-state universities.

Since early Thursday morning, members of student unions have proceeded to simultaneously blockade the central entrance of the AUTH (above the commercial gate of the TIF), the old building of the Philosophy and the Polytechnic School. It is not excluded that they proceed with additional blocking of entrances.

This is another one student protest movement for the bill of the Ministry of Education, which includes, among other things, the establishment of non-state universities and will be put to a vote in the Parliament, tomorrow, Friday.

The exclusion of the above inputs will be valid until 12 noonwhere a rally will be held in Kamara against the establishment of private universities, while after the end of the protest, the students will continue the blockade of the schools.

It is reminded that many AUTH schools have been under occupation for the past few weeks.
