At the first petrol station seal, for two years, customs auditors of the Independent Public Revenue Authority proceeded.

The on-site inspection discovered that the tanker truck parked at the station has connected the fuel supply hose to the station’s receiving network.

The inspectors instructed the tanker driver to start filling the network with the unknown product being transported to see if the inflow is recorded in the input-output system and to ascertain whether it is a legal tank filling.

After 500 liters have flowed from the tanker to the tank, no input logging indication appeared in the input-output system. Following this, a Decision was issued to seal the gas station for two years.

Adulterated and confiscated fuel will be destroyed by a licensed hazardous waste disposal agency, while the details of the violation will be published on the AADE website.

The audit was coordinated by the Coordination Operations Center (COC) of AADE with the cooperation of the Economic Police of the Hellenic Republic, the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Ministry of Development.
