From Papa’s Mill was given start of the three-day carnival events in Larissa with traditional music, dance and its revival custom “brides”.
From 3 in the afternoon the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Traditional Music Orchestra of the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa were in the forecourt of the Mill, inviting young and old to dance to carnival rhythms.
Later, at 6 in the afternoon “Buluki” of carnivalists started from the point for the commercial center of the city, accompanied by traditional instruments. A unique atmosphere based on old folk customs, which contributes to the new perception of the Halloween celebration in Larissa.
Today’s program will end with the Halloween celebration with the crepe “queen” at the French Institute of Larissa.
There, as the Deputy Mayor for Culture, Mr. Thomas Retsianis stated, “we will have a unique partnership of a Greek and French tradition. In addition to local delicacies, the bride will also try a crepe at the end.”
