A new case of prostitution of minors shocks public opinion. ELAS moved forward in four arrests of people who allegedly exploited and promiscuous minor girls aged 14 and 15. A 25-year-old woman appears as the “brain” of the circuit.

The Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, planned and coordinated a wide-ranging police operation during the two-day period 17 to 18 March 2024 in Byrona, Aigaleo and the squares of Attica and Omonia for the investigated case of forcing underage girls into prostitution in hotels in the center of Athens.

As part of the operation, four citizens (a 25-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman, a 54-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman) were identified and arrested on warrants for the crime of serial human trafficking, once and continuously.

As ELAS reports, the 25-year-old was additionally arrested for drug trafficking based on the arrest warrant issued against her.

In particular, from the summer of 2023, the 25-year-old recruited seven minor girls who had reached the age of 14, after previously having developed a friendly relationship with them, facilitating meetings with clients, with the aim of sexually exploiting them in half-board hotels in the center of Athens.

From the meetings, the 25-year-old received part of the money many times she herself accompanied them to the meeting points. Even, in some cases instead of money supplied the victims with narcotics.

The 25-year-old and 54-year-old supported the transport and delivery of the girls to the hotels using their vehicles. The 21-year-old sexually exploited one of the underage girls, having received part of the money.

As part of the ELAS operation, digital evidence and a small amount of narcotics were seized.
