Inclusion of the action for the acquisition of professional experience, with a budget of 200 million euros, in the “Human Resources and Social Cohesion” Program of the NSRF 2021-2027
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Domna Michailidou, and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, announce the inclusion of an action for the acquisition of professional experience-pre-work for unemployed young people, with a budget of 200 million euros, in the Program “Human Resources and Social Cohesion”, of NSRF 2021-2027.
The action, which is co-financed by the European Social Fund, includes actions preparation and acquisition professional experiencewith the aim of promoting the integration into the labor market of up to 25,000 unemployed young people, and will be implemented in the framework of the open type of programs (open framework model), i.e. it will remain open in terms of Submission of applicationsuntil the positions are filled or the budget is exhausted.
Beneficiaries of action is:
- unemployed people aged 18 – 29, registered in the unemployment registers of the DYPA’s KPA2, graduates of at least compulsory education, who are out of employment, education and training.
- The duration of the program is 7 months full-time, in private companies throughout the country.
Beneficiaries are paid by DYPA, monthly compensation equal to legal minimum wage and ratio gifts holidays and leave allowance and for the time of their participation in the program they are subject to the mixed insurance of e-EFKA.
No compensation is paid to the providers of pre-work positions (enterprises). The announcements for the start of submitting applications on the relevant electronic platform are made by DYPA, which is also the implementing body of the program.
The Minister of Labor & Social Security, Domna Michailidou, said: “We respond to the needs of young people with projects. In the gap between supply and demand with actions. In the strengthening of youth employment with the new action of the NSRF which will provide the appropriate supplies to 25,000 unemployed 18 to 29 year olds. Our concern is and remains the support of our young people and the upgrading of their skills. Lifelong learning, the expansion and strengthening of training programs as well as the new action for the acquisition of professional experience-pre-work for unemployed young people, with a budget of 200 million euros, are our answer to the real needs of the Greek economy. By investing in our young people we can pave the way for a sustainable future of prosperity, inclusive, for all.”
The Deputy Minister of National Economy & Finance, Mr. N. Papathanasis, underlined: “With the action for the acquisition of professional experience and indeed within the productive network of businesses, we aim for unemployed young men and women to acquire necessary supplies for the preparation of the start or their career development. The program, which will remain open for applications until the positions are filled or the budget is exhausted, is part of the NSRF 2021-2027. It is implemented, in parallel with similar interventions for the training-retraining and strengthening of skills of our fellow citizens, mainly young and unemployed, financed by the Recovery Fund. Faithful to our commitments and their practical implementation, we channel every European and national resource at our disposal, with the aim of further reducing unemployment and the wider improvement of the pro-investment and business environment in the country, so that our fellow citizens, primarily the new and young people, to secure better-paid jobs”
