Explanations as a suspect for the accusation that he was the moral perpetrator for deceiving the voters who voted for the Spartan party, the Golden Dawn inmate gave to the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Ilias Kasidiaris.

His explanations were given in the context of the investigation carried out by the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Georgia Adelini, following public complaints by the head of the Spartan party, Vassilis Stiga. Vassilis Stigas made complaints about the existence of illegal actions by his deputies and behind-the-scenes movements in his party beyond legality, talking about the Greek Mafia and “Don Corleone”.

After the Stiga complaints the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court personally intervened, Vassilis Stigas testified twice as part of the investigation, while explanations were given by all, except Stigas, MPs who were elected with the Spartan party on the charge of deceiving the electorate on the grounds that Ilias Kasidiaris was behind the party in question , which is prohibited by the ACA inmate law.

The Prosecutor of the Supreme Court has already requested the lifting of the immunity of the MPs who were elected with the Spartan party, except for Stiga, (and the immunities have been lifted) the explanations were given by all the suspects, with the result that the Prosecutor’s investigation has now passed at the critical stage of decisions on the initiation of criminal prosecutions.

The prosecutor’s decision is awaited with great interestgiven that the decision of the Supreme Special Court (Electoral Court) regarding its legal participation in the Parliament is pending for the Spartan party as the relevant appeals have already been heard.

According to information, the decision of the AED expected until June, as at that time the President of the CoE Evangelia Nikas, who presided over the Court, and other supreme judges, leaves due to retirement.

The possibility that the decision of the Electoral Court will cancel the election of the Spartans’ deputies is considered important, and in this case, the scenario of sharing their parliamentary seats with the other parties is considered the most likely.
