A woman of Polish origin was taken to the hospital after being beaten by her husband.
The woman was accompanying her husband, also Polish, on the trip he made in the truck. It was located on the Ionian Road, near the junction of Terovo, when report through the European emergency number “112” that she is being physically abused by her husband, without giving further details and information about where she was.
Police forces were immediately mobilized to search for her, as a result of which, a short time later, a truck was found in the parking lot of Ionia Road, in which the arrested man and his complaining wife were found, who had obvious injuries on her face.
An ambulance was called to the scene by the police, accompanied by them the woman was taken to the emergency hospital, from where she was discharged a few hours later, while her husband was arrested.
Her husband was arrested while the Ioannina District Prosecutor’s Office was informed about the incident, while a preliminary investigation was conducted by the Domestic Violence Office of the Ioannina Police Department.
