Animal welfare then rushed to the Prosecutor’s Office to denounce the conditions of detention of the animals and now awaits the decision of the competent prosecutor for their surrender
Through her post on Facebook, she talks about the uncorrected and criminal indifference of the competent municipal authority, which, as it characteristically states, does not seem to comply with any directive, any law, any European treaty, inviting people to visit this hell and to contribute to the slow and torturous killing of animals that had the misfortune to be born on the streets of Sparta.
Save a Greek Stray, describes that the strays that have gathered in the kennel are tattered, stacked, dirty, boned, mutilated, sick, semi-dead, while some are dead at the end of their chain.
He also summarizes that he submitted today an indictment to the Sparta Prosecutor’s Office against anyone responsible for the crime of animal abuse in both kennels of the Municipality of Sparta, while he also asked the Prosecutor’s Office to order the delivery of the dying and very sick animals.
At the same time, a criminal prosecution was requested against those responsible.
