BBB 22: Maíra Cardi counters who called her daughter ugly and the result of a betrayal

Since last Saturday (19), when Arthur Aguiar won the Prova do Anjo at Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo), the fitness influencer and his wife, Maíra Cardi, has had to live with criticism directed at the couple’s daughter, the little Sophia, 3.

There were those who called her ugly and also those who asked maliciously if the girl was the result of some betrayal by Arthur. Through social networks, Maíra decided to open the game and talk about what she has thought of the criticism.

“One of them [comentários maldosos] was, ‘That girl is ugly. She is the daughter of what betrayal?’ Sophia is not the result of any betrayal. She is my daughter and I never cheated. But if she were the daughter of one of the betrayals and one of the women he [Arthur] got involved, I would love her just the same. She is a child and has nothing to do with the bad choices of adults,” she replied.

The two had been married for about three years when, in May 2020, she announced that she was separating from the actor. Weeks later, the influencer said on social media that it was an abusive and toxic relationship, in addition to having been betrayed by him several times. “I took more horn than my head can carry,” she said in 2020.

Arthur even admitted the betrayal in a video posted on his social networks, but rejected the idea that he was abusive in his relationship with Maíra. He even went to court and got a court order forbidding his ex-wife to mention her name in his posts.

Months later, the actor attended a spiritual rehabilitation center, said he was sorry and announced that he would like to reconcile with his ex. The two were gradually getting closer, but only in October they decided to go public to reveal that they resumed their relationship. A short time before, in April, Maíra had already said that she saw Aguiar’s changes and that he was no longer an abusive guy. Since then, they were seen together more often.

On issues involving the girl’s beauty, Maíra also replied. In recent days, the hatshtag #sophiamerecerespeito was among the most commented terms on social networks. A lot of people defending the girl and opposing the mean comments to the child.

“Every mother thinks her son is beautiful. But it could be that Sophia is ugly and I don’t see it, because a mother doesn’t see that her daughter is ugly. But in my prayers to God, I don’t ask for my daughter to be beautiful. I ask her to be healthy, have character, good heart, love others and love each other.”

After winning the Anjo race on Saturday (19), Arthur Aguiar celebrated with Anjo’s lunch on Sunday (20). The brother invited Lucas, Paulo André and Tiago to enjoy the stewardship.

In an action promoted by one of the program’s sponsors before the meal, Arthur was moved to see a recorded message from his wife, Maíra Cardi, and the couple’s daughter, Sophia.

Maíra spoke about the participant’s fear of leaving their daughter to participate in the program and reassured her husband afterwards. “My love, I’m here to tell you that everything is fine,” said the coach.
