All the forces that participated in the great exercise at the Skaramanga Naval Fort
A Major Casualty Exercise was conducted at the Skaramangas Naval Fort, under the direction of the Naval Training Commander Rear Adm. Georgios Aggouras, in the presence of the Naval Inspector General Rear Admiral Sotirios Tsamilis and under the coordination of the Area Security Control Center of the Kanellopoulos naval base.
The exercise was attended by personnel from the Navy, the special interdisciplinary Nuclear-Biological-Chemical Defense company of the GHET, the Mobile Disaster Response Team of the 206th Air Infrastructure Wing of the Air Force, the 747th Special Engineer Battalion of the Army, the department Aspropyrgos Security, the West Attica Traffic Department, the Special Disaster Response Unit, the 4th Fire Station of Piraeus, the National Center for Immediate Assistance and the Municipality of Perama.
Also participating were observers from the general secretariat of Civil Protection and the Attica region as well as volunteer groups such as the Smile of the Child, the Union of Greek Radio Amateurs, the Rescue Group D and the Attica Armed Forces Reserve Club.
During the exercise, the completeness of reaction planning, the degree of readiness and the ability to direct and coordinate the involved bodies to deal with special emergency situations in the area of ​​the Skaramangas Naval Fort were checked.
