Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in Mytilini today, Friday April 19.

Immediately after his arrival, Mr. Mitsotakis went to the entrance gate to the port of Mytilini where the arrivals of day boats from Turkey take place and where the issuance of express visas for Turkish visitors is implemented with impressive results.

It is noted that last week and in just seven days Lesvos was visited by approximately 7,000 Turks.

Afterwards, Mr. Mitsotakis, who is accompanied by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Dimitris Kairides and other officials of the ruling party, after passing through the market of Mytilini, will go to Kalloni. There, at the entrance to the city, it will stop at the junction of the Mytilini-Kalloni national road with the new Kalloni-Sigrio road, which will be operational for the first day today. This is an important development project for the whole of western Lesvos.

This will be followed by a meeting of the Prime Minister with the mayor of Western Lesbos, Taxiarchis Verros, at the town hall in Kalloni, while he is also expected to have a meeting with citizens in a cafe in the town square.

Before leaving for Athens, Mr. Mitsotakis is expected to visit Sigri at the western end of the island. There he will visit the Natural History Museum of the Petrified Forest, the port of Sigri and a model olive grove.
