Out of school 47 elementary school children in Western Thessaloniki – Negative parents keep them at home

by

The numbers of “negative” parents in Western Thessaloniki, who keep their children out of the educational process due to coronavirus and reaction to health protocols, are shocking.

As the director of Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki, Athanasios Frosinis, reveals to GRTimes, out of the 49 children who were registered before the prosecutor’s intervention on the issue, only two children were persuaded and returned to lifelong learning and school groups. The remaining 47 remain out of school and classes.

“The latest indexing that we have done shows the number of 47 children who are still absent from their classes. “And this number remains at these levels, despite the fact that we have approached their homes and we have warned parents that there is a risk of losing the year due to absences,” the director of Primary Education in Western Thessaloniki told GRTimes.

He adds that this number “remains unchanged despite the fact that we have submitted the relevant list of names to the prosecutor” concludes.

The excuses for enrolling in an Alaskan school
It is also worth noting that in recent statements to GRTimes, Mr. Frosinis had referred to various tricks that have been devised by negative parents, in order to justify the absence of children from schools, but also to avoid the prescribed penalties.

In this context, there were parents who, while searching the internet, found schools around the world that offer courses in the form of distance learning and invoke them as an excuse, stating that they should enroll their children there. “Many such requests have been made to Primary Education by parents who have located such schools even in Alaska in the United States, in order to avoid any sanctions,” Frosinis said at the time, adding that “such requests as it is reasonable, they were never accepted by the Management “.
