The prosecution of all four defendants proposes the prosecution of Piraeus – The charges
The indictment of all four defendants of the crew of “Blue Horizon“, from where the 36-year-old was pushed Antonis Kargiotiswhile trying to board the ship, on the evening of September 5, as a result of which he lost his life, the Piraeus prosecutor advises the competent Misdemeanor Council.
The Piraeus public prosecutor recommends to the competent Misdemeanor Council the arraignment on felony charges and the four members of the “Blue Horizon” crew as responsible for the death of 36-year-old Antonis Kargiotis who died in the port of Piraeus, in front of dozens of eyewitnesses on the evening of the 5th September of 2023.
In particular, the prosecutor’s proposal to the competent Misdemeanor Council includes:
-for masterwho is on pre-trial detention in Korydallos prisons, dangerous interference with the transport of a ship resulting in death and attempted serial care.
-for existingwho is also temporarily incarcerated in Korydallos prisons, intentional homicide committed with possible malice and abuse of power.
– for his lieutenant commandercooperation, by action and by omission, in homicide with intent, carried out with possible malice.
-for lostromo complicity in homicide with intent, committed with possible malice and for abuse of power.
The prosecutor who investigated the case recommends that all four accused crew members be tried before the Joint Jury.
