In the yard of Pavlos and Martha, on the day of Mother’s Day, a three-month-old teddy bear – as cute as a stuffed animal – tried to find shelter, which was rescued when the couple confined it to a safe place and notified the Kozani Forestry Service and ARKTOUROS.

When the Emergency Response Team arrived, they calmed down the terrified cub, giving it some food and water, and immediately began searching for the mama bear in a wooded area near where she was found.

In fact, the teddy bear was placed inside a makeshift structure, from which it could not escape, but it would be easy for the mother to get it out of there.

The cries and cries of the little bear could be heard in a long radius and would be enough for him to locate it and be reunited. Unfortunately, this was not to be, so ARKTOUROS picked up the bear again the next morning and took it to the Wildlife Reintroduction Center, where it will grow for a year and then become an operation to try and re-introduce it into the wild.

As mentioned in a related announcement of the organization, the teddy bear was named Martha as a small return to the lady who saved it. Martha weighs about five kilos and is healthy. The first samples are very encouraging, because she avoids her caretakers and maintains the behavior of a wild animal.
