According to the Police, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m., under as yet unknown circumstances, while workers were carrying out work. The child was received by the Emergency Department without bleeding but with a not completely good level of consciousness and was taken to the Pentelis Children’s Hospital.
3 workers were brought to the police station and they installed the door.
In a post, a citizen states:
“The new central gate that was replaced this morning fell and crushed a student who was taken to hospital by ambulance.
We are talking about a very old building, in bad condition, with endless pleas to the Municipality for maintenance and renovation needs. And when something finally changes a little, it does so in the wrong way. (I’m not an expert, but we all know more or less how contractors and project assignments work in the Greek government)
Should we mourn child victims to get the basics done, or should we parents camp outside city hall until we find our way?”
More in a while..
