Three Greek “mommy” foods on the list of Taste Atlas cooks
Three favorite Greek dishes – which are not missing from any Sunday table – are featured in the famous culinary guide Taste Atlas, on the list of the world’s best food “cooks”.
In the Top 100 Casserole, very high is the pasticcio – in 5th place – with 4.4/5.
It follows girlwhich is in 9th place, while the famous tradinional mouzaka, o moussakaranks 15th.

The best cooked food was awarded – based on critics and audience scores – to the traditional Brazilian Escondidinho.
The prototype is called Escondidinho de carne seca and is prepared with dried and salted meat and mashed potatoes. In fact, the name of the dish means “little hidden”, referring to the meat hidden under a layer of mashed potatoes
However, it can be made with a variety of ingredients – beef, chicken, fish, pork or shrimp.
Carne seca is cooked with tomatoes, onions, garlic and various spices. It is placed on a baking sheet and then topped with mashed potatoes and often grated cheese. The food is baked in the oven until golden brown on top.
