-Assessment of subjects for Biology
The topics seem passable, of gradable difficulty and without any particular ambiguity. They have a degree of originality and are for well-read students. They seem to be limited in time for very well prepared students.” according to Mr. Dimitris Katsidoniotis from the “Diakrotima Training Group”.
-Assessment of the subjects for Mathematics
“TOPIC A-THEORY, TOPIC B-BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ANALYSIS IS CHECKED-QUESTIONS OF MODERATE DIFFICULTY, TOPIC C-THE QUESTIONS COVER A LARGE PART OF THE MATERIAL. CRITICAL ABILITY IS REQUIRED IN SUBJECTS C3 & C4, SUBJECT D-THERE ARE QUESTIONS OF MODERATE DIFFICULTY, D4 IS OF INCREASED DIFFICULTY. The topics cover, almost, the whole of the material, they present an escalation in terms of difficulty. Well-prepared students will not face significant problems in solving them.” according to Mr. Giorgos Panagou from the “Diakrotima Training Group”.
-Assessment of topics for Ancient Greek
“Ancient Teaching: The students were asked to work on the 21st teaching unit (Plutarch, About Alexander of Fortune and Virtue). This is a unit that has not been examined until now in the national exams. The topics are generally passable and clearly formulated. The comprehension question (B1) presupposes a good knowledge of the explanatory comments of the textbook. The question of the comparison between the reference text and the parallel translated text requires a critical approach. Vocabulary and the introduction exercise are not difficult. A well-read student responds satisfactorily to the exam!
Ancient Unlearned: In the unlearned text the students were examined on a passage from Thucydides’ Histories.
The text does not present particular editorial difficulties for the examinees, but in some parts it is not easy to translate. Grammatical and syntactic comments cover a wide area of the examined material and require a good knowledge of grammar and syntactic to solve them. according to Nikolas Giannakis and Panagiotis Tzitzikakis from the “Diakrotima Training Group”.
