In addition, it was forbidden to enter it with relevant markings as well as the exercise of any economic activity in this area, as stated in the announcement of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance.

According to the ministry, the procedure provides for:

– Firstthe issuance of the relevant fine within the day which, based on the new strict law enacted a few months ago, amounts to 4 times the consideration that the entrepreneur would have paid for one year if he had entered into a contract.

-Secondly, the immediate removal – within 48 hours – of all illegal umbrella seats as well as the movable elements of the metal constructions under the responsibility of the entrepreneur. If this is not done, then the responsibility for removal is assumed by the Municipality.

-Thirdlya demolition protocol will be issued for the metal elements within the next few days.

“I have said it before and I emphasize it. Let everyone understand this without exception, especially those who think they will deceive us and that they can disregard the law: as we did last year, as we did today in Rhodes, so we will do from now on. Legality everywhere! And no turds are going to stop us. It is a basic condition to make this country better” said the Minister of Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis.
