Police officers of the Department of Crimes against Life and Personal Freedom of the Attica Security Directorate proceeded to investigate the murder of the foreigner from Pakistan, who was found, fatally stabbed, on the afternoon of June 5, at his home in Rodopolis of Dionysos.

As ELAS announced, his 26-year-old roommate, who was also his relative, was arrested on a warrant, accused of manslaughter, as the victim had married his sister.

The 26-year-old was spotted by a special police team of the above service at the Thessaloniki Intercity Bus Station, where he was preparing to flee to Bulgaria.

According to the forensic autopsy, the victim died as a result of external trauma to the chest from a cutting and cutting instrument and injuries to the chest and abdomen.

According to the police, from the investigation carried out, in the context of which forensic findings and pre-investigative evidence were evaluated and utilized, the presence of the perpetrator at the scene of the crime and his escape from it were certified.

At the same time, according to information from police sources, the 26-year-old, during the interrogation, admitted his act, saying that he was led to the crime because the victim had bad behavior towards him.

The arrested person will be taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
