The husband of the former Deputy Minister of Health, Minas Gaga, owns the factory of the company PAL Palamidis which was engulfed in flames
The fire that broke out at noon on Wednesday, due to an unknown cause, is raging in a factory of PAL Palamidis in Kato Kifissia. The company, which manufactures cooking utensils, is owned by the husband of the former Deputy Minister of Health, Minas Gaga, Vassilis Palamidis.
In her statements, Ms. Gaga said that based on the information she had until that moment, there are no people trapped in the factory.
Who is PAL Palamidis?
The company was founded in 1947 as a small family business producing cooking utensils, which along the way became “Palamidis SA”. In 1960 the management proceeded with the installation of new production equipment, targeting stainless kitchenware.
In 1990, the company expanded its product line and began producing non-stick kitchen products, while three years later its products began to be exported to more than 10 countries. In 2008, the company’s storage facilities were multiplied and seven years later the kitchenware production unit was moved to a larger space.
