The company KTEL Chania-Rethymno SA sends a message of life, which, in the context of its social contribution and perception, is placed on the “front line” of the “battle” for the prevention of traffic accidents.

By decision of the Board of Directors of the company, KTEL Chania-Rethymnon puts into effect from the three days of the Holy Spirit the 24-hour coverage of the Chania – Gerani line, in which the “heart beats” of the night life of Chania.

In particular, the three days of Holy Spirit 22, 23 and 24 June, the four days 27, 28, 29 and 30 June, as well as every day from 1 July to at least the end of August, the Chania-Rethymnon KTEL will run from 01.00 from midnight until 06.00 in the morning (when the daily services start) hourly routes on the line Chania-Stalos-Agia Marina-Platanias-Gerani and vice versa. The cost of the ticket price is 2 euros for the areas of Stalos and Agia Marina and 2.20 euros for Platanias and Gerani.

Thus, the “driver of the group”, that is, the one who will not have consumed alcohol and will see to the safe return of everyone at the end of the outing, should now become the KTEL driver.

As the president of KTEL Chania-Rethymno SA, Yiannis Kapsanakis, emphasizes, the company’s project in question has a double purpose, as in addition to the decisive contribution of KTEL Chania-Rethymno to the prevention of traffic accidents, it also contributes to the regeneration of tourism par excellence area of Chania, since the routes on a 24-hour basis will give a “kiss of life” to the local economy.
