Influenza virus

Influenza positivity in the community (sentinel network) remains low, below 10% (seasonal threshold of start/end of epidemic influenza activity according to ECDC). In the SARI network samples the positivity remains at low levels.

One new severe case with ICU hospitalization was reported, while one severe case of laboratory-confirmed influenza with ICU hospitalization and one death from laboratory-confirmed influenza were retrospectively reported.

A total of 148 people with laboratory-confirmed influenza have been hospitalized in the ICU and 71 deaths from laboratory-confirmed influenza have been recorded.
