The fire that broke out at noon on Friday in Mavro Lithari, Attica, in low vegetation, was brought under control.
Residents of the area stated that the intervention of the fire department was immediate. However, for the time being, Athens – Souniou remains closed from the height of Elektras Street to the height of Minoos Street, for safety reasons.
Based on the initial information provided by the Fire Department, fire brigades, specifically, 19 firefighters with 9 vehicles, 2 pedestrians and a helicopter went immediately to Amfitritis Street, parallel to Souni. Vehicles have been diverted at the height of Karamanli Avenue.
The residents living in the Mavro Lithari area were sent a 112 message to move away to Glyfada.
