The auditors of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue proceeded to close the beach bar in Kyparissia for 48 hours.

The auditors carried out the audit having at their disposal the modern tool, Audit-live, which gives them access to the tax profile of businesses, from wherever they are, and, in combination with the on-site audit, found the following:

The business started its operation on 05/15/23.

The revenue receipts were issued by two cash registers, for which the cessation of their operation had been declared, with a declaration of self-delivery. Despite this, they continued to operate as normal, issuing receipts. During the audit, it was found that none of the machines were transmitting the data to e-send since the start of operation (May 2023). Still the business did not have an active POS.

From the control of Z, it was found that a total of 17,500 receipts had been cut, with a total value of 193,000 euros, together with the VAT of 24,100 euros.

In addition to the lockout, the company was fined a total of 13,050 euros (12,050 euros corresponds to 50% of the value of the VAT, which was collected but not returned, and 1,000 euros for not declaring the machines to the AADE).

At the same time, the company’s books are audited over a period of years, in order to record its tax behavior.

It is worth noting that this business belongs to a local businessman. At the same address, he operated a business in the past. It had been checked even then and again tax violations were found.
