The Electric Culture collection is inspired by the great history and heritage of PPC
The Electric Culture collection is presented by PPC, which includes eighteen collectible products with the lightning symbol, inspired by the company’s rich historical archive. These are objects of daily use and high aesthetics, including handmade ones, while emphasis has been placed on the use of sustainable materials. Designed with passion and positive energy, the Electric Culture product collection is available in six PPC stores – Stournari, The Mall, Chalandri, Marousi, Kallithea, Aigaleo and soon in Pagrati and Larissa – while soon it will be available in more.
The Electric Culture collection is inspired by the great history and heritage of PPC, which are parallel and intertwined with the electrification of Greece and the economic, social and cultural development of the country.
For the planning of the collection, rich material from the PPC archive was used. The historical archive also includes photographs of important artists of the time, with their lens having captured moments from the revolution that Electricity brought to everyday life. A key design element of the collection is the lightning bolt, which accompanied the PPC logo for decades as an integral part of the company’s electrical heritage. At the same time, the messages that “dress” the collection urge towards a green future, which is one of the company’s core values.
Eighteen high quality collectibles
The Electric Culture collection consists of quality items for everyday use and high aesthetics for everyone, such as the handcrafted and fully biodegradable Stylos candle. Made from natural soy wax and edible paraffin, with a scent inspired by what emerges when old wooden PPC poles are heated by the summer sun.
The products in the collection include office supplies such as notebooks, notebooks, mugs, as well as the set of six wood-free synthetic resin pencils, made with 46% recycled material. On the surface of each pencil is printed the lightning bolt logo of PPC in 1954.
The Electric Culture collection also includes textile accessories, such as modern, colorful woven belts, collectible socks and a cotton shopping bag. On one side of the bag is a printed photo from the 1950s – 1960s, which has been selected from PPC’s historical photo archive.
Finally, the collection includes technological gadgets, creative objects for children, as well as green proposals for all those who love plants.
More information on all products can be found on the specially designed page of PPC https://www.dei.gr/el/ilektrikos-politismos/.
