The fire is being investigated as having started after a drone crash – Traffic diversions
An alarm was sounded at noon on Wednesday at the Fire Department for a fire in a forest area in Glyka Nera, near a residential area, according to fire department sources.
A while ago it became known that they existed 4 additions for this particular fire. According to ERT, four people came to the AT Peanias and are being examined. In fact, there were complaints that the fire occurred after a drone operated by the company in question fell.
The fire, which started at 14:20 at noon, immediately took on dimensions while a message was sent from 112 calling on the citizens in the area to remain on alert.
According to the Fire Department, the fire started on the north side of Ymittos and so far it is moving against the houses, towards the forest part where there is a dense forest area.
The mayor of Agia Paraskevi, Yiannis Mylonakis, who spoke to SKAI 100.3, said that the picture from the fire is better, while the private schools in the area are not threatened.
To extinguish it, strong ground and air forces were mobilized. From the air, 9 aircraft and 7 helicopters, one of which is coordinating.
Also, 100 firefighters with 6 teams of walking departments and 25 vehicles were mobilized.

- Cretan Sea and Agios Ioannou
- Gravia and the Eastern Mediterranean
- On the streets of Anastase from the height of the cemeteries (Papagou area
- On an anonymous road at the height of the Saketa camp to Ymittos (Byron area).
