The efforts of the fire brigade to contain the fire that broke out yesterday around 11.00 pm in low vegetation near Karamanli Avenue in the municipality of Acharnon lasted all night.

Two messages via 112 were sent to residents of the wider area.

The first message informed citizens about the fire, asking them to remain alert and follow the instructions of the authorities, while the second called on those near Rema tis Helidonous to stay indoors and close doors and windows due to the smoke.

Traffic diversion

According to the latest information from the Traffic Authority, due to the fire in the Acharni area, the diversion of vehicles on Tatoiou Street, from the height of Dekelias Street to the height of Karamanli Avenue, remains in force.
