The fire is burning a forest area in Kithaironas, above Erythres – Strong winds are blowing in the area
A better picture is presented by fire which broke out early in the afternoon in a wooded area at Villas Attica.
According to the Fire Department, the fire broke out at around 13.05 in a forest area between Erythrai, Vilia and Agios Nektarios, and strong winds are blowing in the area.
The fire is burning a forest area in Kithaironas, in a ravine in a difficult place between Vilia and Erythres.
At this time, 110 firefighters, 5 groups of hikers, 25 vehicles, 3 aircraft and 7 helicopters (including 2 Army Air Force Chinooks)

Due to the fire, the Police diverted traffic on the provincial road Oinois-Porto Germenou at the height of Kithaironos Street.
The camp was evacuated as a precaution
As a precaution, the children were removed from the camp of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos in Vilia.
The Villas are built on the slopes of Kithairon and are located 56 kilometers northwest of Athens.
