SA state of special mobilization was declared for the region of Thessaly due to the occurrence of plague cases in ruminants by the General Secretary of Civil Protection Mr. Vassilis Papageorgiou.
The said Situation of Special Mobilization of Civil Protection for the above-mentioned areas of the Region of Thessaly will be valid for six months from the date of issuance of this decision, that is, until January 17, 2025.
In particular, the announcement states: “This Special Civil Protection Mobilization Situation for the Region of Thessaly is issued due to the imminent risk of the spread of the ruminant plague zoonosis, which initially appeared in the P.E. Trikala and spread to P.E. of Larisa, in order to launch immediate actions as provided for in the Emergency Response Plan for the fight against diseases, of Annex I of the d.d. 138/1995 (related 9) and will contribute to preventing the spread of the disease”.
After the end of the specified time, the above Special Civil Protection Mobilization Situation of the Thessaly Region will be lifted, without a new document.
