“I am accused of setting up a criminal organization with members of my elderly, eighty (80) year old mother and my son-in-law, a shepherd in Aegina”
A press release by Konstantinos Polychronopoulos of the social kitchen “THE OTHER MAN”, was issued, through his attorneys, Alexandros Ath. Katsifos and Nikolaos G. Alexandris, in which he states the following:
“Audiatur et altera pars” – hear the other side too.
Through the news bulletins and the mass media, I was informed that a criminal prosecution was brought against me, without either me or my advocates having been properly informed, until now. As it is mentioned in the relevant reports, I am accused of setting up a criminal organization with members of my very old, eighty (80) year old mother and my son-in-law, a shepherd in Aegina.
For my part, I am always here, I have never hidden, I have handed over to the Authorities all the evidence, from which it follows that the accusation of criminal organization and money laundering does not stand up to logic, criticism and legal thought and opinion.
My position has not changed since the first moment. I have not misused a single euro of the money of the “The Other Man” Social Kitchen.
As soon as I am summoned by the Judicial Authorities, I will answer, once again, everything attributed to me, in order to prove beyond doubt that I can look at you with a high head and a clear gaze, as I have been doing all these years.
PS Justice is a prerequisite of civilization. A prerequisite of the rule of law is that the accused be informed first and then leaks are made.”
