The main investigation into the case has ended of the 24-year-oldwho complained that he was raped in a luxury hotel in Thessaloniki, in the early hours of the New Year.
The 5th regular interrogator of Thessaloniki has completed her investigation and the court file is expected to pass into the hands of a prosecutor, who will submit a proposal to the competent Judicial Council. The judges of the Thessaloniki Council of Criminal Procedure will then rule on the referral of the case to the court.
In recent days, a professor of toxicology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, who has been appointed expert on the case, has been summoned to testify. According to information, he gave clarifications on the content of the laboratory examinations carried out both at the University of Thessaloniki and at the specialized laboratory of the University of Bern.
The specific tests, which are included in the case file, were reported to be negative for drugs, while the amount of alcohol detected in the examined urine samples was minimal.
The same case file also included a report of observations on the finding, which was prepared by a technical consultant on behalf of the 24-year-old. According to information, the complainant did not request a specialized examination of the scalp.
It is recalled that a 27-year-old man is accused of the case, against whom criminal proceedings were instituted for sexual acts without the consent of the victim and after his apology he was released on restrictive terms. He denies the accusation.
