On the side of the tested people of Ukraine stands the Municipality of Heraklion, which begins the collection of humanitarian aid.
Specifically, first aid and pharmacy items are collected, such as non-sterile gloves, non-traumatic scissors, bandages (sterile and non-sterile, elastic, burn), non-mercury thermometers, thermal blankets, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory, , eye pads (shields), hypothermic bags. Also, thermal underwear, blankets, duvets, long-lasting products: canned goods, cereals, pasta, and milk.
The collection of products will take place from Thursday, March 3 until Friday, March 4, as well as next week from Tuesday, March 8 until Friday, March 11, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, at the Heraklion Theater Station, in the port.
As mentioned, only packaged products will be received which should be labeled with their contents.
The mayor of Heraklion said in a statement: “We are anxiously watching the developments in Ukraine and we hope that the hostilities will stop. We support the suffering citizens of Ukraine by mobilizing humanitarian aid. I am sure that once again the fellow citizens will contribute by participating in the collection of basic necessities “.
