Paid and insured apprenticeships in 37 leading specialties
They overcame the 4,000 the applications for admission to the 50 Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS) of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the school year 2024-2025 in 37 specialties with a high demand in the labor market.
Those who are 15-29 years old (born in the years 1995-2009) and have at least a High School Leaving Certificate have the right to apply.
Apprenticeship fees are €118.64 or €148.30 per week (for 4 or 5 days of apprenticeship, respectively) for two years.
Applications are submitted through gov.gr, with TAXISnet codes, at: https://www.gov.gr/ipiresies/ekpaideuse/eggraphe-se-skholeio/eggraphe-se-epaggelmatike-skhole-epas-tes- dypa.
Specifically, the path is: gov.gr → Education → Enroll in a school → Enroll in a Vocational School (EPAS) of DYPA.
DYPA has been implementing the Apprenticeship system since 1952, which is the only dual system in our country, which combines theoretical and laboratory professional education at the School with the learning program in the workplace, in real working conditions (on-the- job-training). The aim is for the student to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge, but also professional experience in the labor market.
EPAS students in the morning carry out apprenticeships in private or public sector companies in positions related to their specialty, while in the afternoon they attend theoretical and laboratory courses at the school.
As stated in the relevant announcement, the students of the EPAS Apprenticeship of DYPA:
– carry out a workplace learning program with pay and insurance,
– they study in modern and fully equipped laboratories and are provided with the necessary books and aids,
– are trained by experienced and well-qualified training staff,
– they receive a housing allowance, amounting to 240 euros per month, as well as food allowance, amounting to 9 euros per day, with expanded income criteria,
– they are entitled to study leave, up to 30 days with wages and deferment of conscription.
