For three hours the camp officials were looking for the 8-year-old girl, who was finally found drowned in the camp pool in Halkidiki, according to the latest SKAI information from police sources.

The above evidence is consistent with the version that the child probably ate his lunch and then escaped attention and went to the pool, where he was later found.

The officials, when they realized that the 8-year-old was missing, searched everywhere, even on the road outside the camp, until they found her in the water, unfortunately dead.

More light on the case is expected to be shed by the testimonies of the children who were close to the little girl, who will give a statement to the police in the presence of their parents and a child psychologist.

Meanwhile, yesterday it became known that by unanimous decision of the municipal committee of Kassandra operating licenses were revoked that had the swimming pools of the camp, in which the 8-year-old drowned.

One of the pools was not fully fenced so a child could enter, while the second pool did not have the necessary equipment.

In particular, it was found that:

  • He had not been appointed to be responsible for the operation of the pool
  • There were no life jackets and no pole
  • There were no depth markings
