310 people, 250 vehicles and 11 shops of health interest were checked
Targeted police actions continue in Mykonos, as part of the implementation of the special operational plan, to deal with crime, control the operation of shops and improve the level of road safety for citizens.
During the actions, which took place yesterday until the early hours of today (August 23, 2024), in areas of the island where increased incidents of delinquency are observed:
- -310- people, -250- vehicles and -11- shops of health interest were checked
- -19- people were brought
- -11- people were arrested
In particular,
Arrested:
- -2- about foreigners
- -2- for forgery
- -7- for drugs
In addition, in order to deal with delinquent and dangerous-anti-social driving behaviors, a total of -84- violations of the Road Traffic Code were confirmed and -1- vehicle was immobilized.
Specifically, the violations concerned:
- -19- helmets
- -17- double line violation
- -14- parking spaces
- -4- zones
- -4- interception of transport work (transfer)
- -2- deprivation of driving license
- -1- driving without prudence and caution
- -1- uninsured
- -1- supernumerary
- -1- worn tires
- -20- other violations
Also found and seized:
- Narcotic substances
- Fake documents
According to the police, Similar operational actions that have as their main characteristics an increased police presence and the implementation of targeted controls, will continue to be carried out daily.
