The gangs, according to its announcements EL.AS., they operated on a case-by-case basis, from July 2020 to last May, during which time they committed 553 criminal acts, with their total “booty” exceeding 2.76 million euros. All the defendants were arrested in execution of relevant warrants, while the case file numbers more than 20,000 pages.

The “curtain” of apologies opened yesterday, with the pre-trial detention of the first 6 accused, while today another 16 involved persons crossed the threshold of the investigative office. Of those who were called to give explanations today, 13 were remanded in custody, while the remaining three were released with restrictive conditions, including two young people, due to their age at the time of their actions, as well as a woman. The process is expected to conclude tomorrow with the apologies of the remaining 15 arrested.
