Since yesterday, the bad weather has started to manifest itself throughout the country, which will continue throughout the weekend, causing problems in Attica, Evia, Crete and Trikala during its passage.

Attica

As it became known from the Fire Department, for Attica, the Operations Center of the Fire Department has received 40 calls which mainly involve pumping water, cutting trees and transporting people to safe places. Furthermore, the Operations Center of the PS has received 14 calls to extricate people from elevators mainly in the southern suburbs of Attica.

Due to a power outage on Vouliagmenis Avenue – at the height of Glyfada – the traffic lights on the road to Athens are not working and there has been a traffic jam.

In Agios Eleftherios, due to the downpour, the road surface on Chalkidos Street 15 caved in, causing a car to fall into the crater that was created.

In Agioi Anargyros, the wells were blocked, as a result of which water accumulated and the streets were flooded.

Euboea

The phenomena are intense from noon also in areas of Evia. In particular, the rainfall is intense in the city of Aliveri. According to evima, the roads have turned into rivers from the intense storm that is currently “hitting” areas of central and southern Evia.

Crete

Heavy rainfall is ongoing in several areas of Crete. In Venerato it is typical that, for some time now, it has been raining torrentially.

As in the area of ​​Messara, Agia Varvara, Lagou, but also Lasithi, Dermato, Kritsa and elsewhere.

At the same time, strong thunders made their appearance in the city of Heraklion.

Trikala

From the early afternoon of Friday, strong storms and rains hit the area of ​​Trikala, extending from the mountains to the center of the city.

Precipitation is accompanied by strong winds, lightning activity and weak hail.

Shortly after 17:50, 112 sent a warning message to the residents of the Municipality of Trikkaia, calling on them to limit their movements and follow the instructions of the authorities due to the intense hail.
