On the occasion of the launch of an additional 20 new buses, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Transport, Vassilis Oikonomou and the managing director of OASA, Giorgos Spiliopoulos, visited the Koropio depot today.

The launch of the 20 new vehicles, as part of the OASA international competition for the concession of a transport project, increases the total number of new buses serving the region to 50.

The new buses, equipped with modern systems and friendly to the environment, significantly upgrade the conditions of travel on the difficult routes of Eastern Attica. With the launch of the new buses, the residents and visitors of the area will enjoy more frequent routes, greater reliability and better services in their daily commutes.

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Vassilis Oikonomou stated “Citizens have already expressed positive comments about the new image of Public Transport in Eastern Attica and this gives us the necessary impetus to continue working prudently, collectively and methodically for the better everyday life of citizens and the upgrading of Public Transportation in Eastern and Western Attica”.
