Her opposition to its implementation flu vaccination from pharmacists expresses the Professional Association of Pathologists of Greece.

The Pathologists also express their wonder “about the study shown by the government by giving legislatively to non-certified health scientists, such as pharmacists, the responsibility of medical procedures” and speak of the union interests of the pharmacists, requesting the withdrawal of the provision.

The provision of the law provides for the implementation of the anti-influenza vaccination of adults at the pharmacy, without the need to present a medical prescription, on a permanent basis, henceforth for all vaccination periods.

The announcement of the Association of Pathologists

“In the prevention of public health, all health scientists have a distinct role.

However, there are criminal and civil responsibilities in cases of negative development of interventional acts, such as vaccinations, performed by professionals who were never trained to carry them out, nor to properly deal with any side effects.

In emergency situations, such as the pandemic, many of these mandatory procedures are overlooked, because the priority is to immediately deal with health-aggravating situations.

Today there are no such dramatic conditions for health and we wonder about the study that the government showed by giving legislatively to non-certified health scientists, such as pharmacists, the responsibility of medical procedures. If the government does not want to expose itself by strengthening the guild interests of pharmacists, let it extend the measure of the possibility of vaccination to biologists, health visitors, nurses, physiotherapists and not only to the pharmacists who sell them.

We expect the withdrawal of the provision.”
