Jaguar Land Rover has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with NVIDIA, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and computing, to develop and co-create the next generation of automated driving systems as well as services and customer experience based on artificial intelligence. (AI).
Starting in 2025, all new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will be built on the platform based on NVIDIA DRIVE λογισ software — offering a wide range of active safety, automated driving and parking systems as well as driver support systems. Inside the vehicle the system will offer AI features such as driver and passenger monitoring and advanced visual display of the vehicle environment.
This fully integrated solution is based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion., Which features DRIVE Orin AV AV servers, DRIVE AV and DRIVE IX software, security, protection and networking systems, and additional perimeter sensors. The DRIVE Orin is the car’s AI and runs the Jaguar Land Rover Operating System, while the DRIVE Hyperion is the central nervous system.
Jaguar Land Rover will also utilize data center solutions developed internally with the NVIDIA DGX â„¢ for AI model training and DRIVE Sim software based on the NVIDIA Omniverse â„¢ for real-time simulation. The features defined by the Jaguar Land Rover software and the end-to-end verification and validation architecture will enable the provision of innovative assisted and automated driving services throughout the life of the vehicle through over- the-air (OTA) software updates.
Jaguar Land Rover aims to achieve zero carbon emissions throughout its supply chain, products and activities by 2039.
