The measure of the maximum number of visitors within the Samaria National Forest, in Chania, is extended to 1,000 people/day until Friday 11/10 according to a relevant announcement of the Natural Environment & Climate Change Organization (O.FY.PE.K.A. ).

To avoid delays or cancellations, visitors of organized groups will enter exclusively with an electronic ticket (https://samaria-tickets.necca.gov.gr/el/checkout).

It is also reminded that, based on the new Operating Regulation of the Samaria National Forest, visitors must respect and protect the natural environment of the National Forest, as well as comply with the regulation when entering, exiting and staying in it.

Visitors, according to OFYPEKA, assume all kinds of individual responsibility for their safety when entering and staying within the boundaries of the National Forest, accepting the risks, especially in cases of extraordinary and unforeseen incidents and must take any measures they deem necessary for the their safety, such as indicative protective helmets, appropriate footwear, keeping safe distances, etc.

In addition, they must fully comply with any extraordinary arrangements or prohibitions of entry and stay within the National Forest, as well as, in any case, with the instructions and suggestions of the staff of the competent services or their contractors.
