Citizens can pay the calls electronically, through the RF code printed on the receipt of the offence
As of today, the pink slip that the offending drivers received in the municipality of Thessaloniki for double parking, illegal parking and other violations of the Road Traffic Code will end, as the issuing of electronic summonses has started today.
The Municipal Police Directorate has at its disposal and operates an integrated digital system, through which all violations of the KOK are digitally checked and certified. Through a special device and a portable printer connected to it, the municipal police carry out the checks and issue the violations, which are then placed on the windshield of the cars.
Now, citizens can pay for calls electronically, through the RF code printed on the receipt of the offence. In this way, the offending drivers will pay for their calls electronically without having to bother with moving to the town hall and the municipal apartments, while working hours and human resources will be saved by the services of the municipality of Thessaloniki.
