With fines up to 2,000 euros and “blockages» in the sales and transfers of their assets, property owners who do not register their properties in the National Land Registry – in areas where land registration is still “running” – by November 30, 2024 are threatened.
At the same time, time credit up to November 30 has also been given to correct the initial entries, which expired at the end of 2023.
In case the owners of the properties do not declare them in the Land Registry, the rights that will not be declared will appear as “unknown owner» and theoretically they will belong to the State.
According to TA NEA, already, the undeclared properties number in the thousands and when the deadline passes, they will have to be claimed either through legal means or through administrative actions, while they will not be able to be used (made available for buying and selling, etc. ).
