Dealing with accuracy, the challenges and prospects of the Greek economy will be at the center of the new event of the Alexis Tsipras Institute, which is taking place today at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus.
According to the official program of the event, economists, politicians, experts from Greece and abroad will take part in the thematic discussions and exchange opinions on the accuracy crisis and propose solutions for the challenges facing the Greek economy.
The event will close with the speech of Alexis Tsipras.
According to information, the former prime minister will argue that the challenge of the current decade cannot be other than ending our continuous course of divergence from the hard core of the EU countries, at all levels, in the economy, in income, in the rule of law , in the welfare state and public infrastructure.
Mr. Tsipras will emphasize that there are no easy solutions and answers, but there is another way. Another direction that we must immediately follow.
Mr. Tsipras will also argue that a new national goal is needed, corresponding to the country’s accession and integration into the EEC in the seventies and eighties, the integration into the eurozone in the nineties, the exit from the crisis and the memoranda in the decade ’10.
He will underline that the acceleration of convergence should be done in terms of social cohesion and justice, in terms of inclusion of the popular and middle classes who put their backs to keep the country standing.
He will note that what we call precision, which has been a constant and terrifying pressure in recent years on middle and low incomes, is at the same time a generalized process of redistribution from the many to the few.
Finally, he will argue that the reconstruction of the Greek economy is not simply a question of plan and resources, but requires and presupposes at the same time ruptures with organized interests. A deeply progressive reform effort in almost all institutions.
