New circuit with “monkey” rapid test in Northern Greece: Two police officers and a pharmacist arrested

A new circuit with false negative diagnostic tests covid -19 (rapid test) was identified by the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces of Northern Greece. They were arrested last Friday two police officers and a pharmacy ownerwhile the case file includes another police officer, military man and five individuals.

For the investigation of the case, an appropriate utilization of information data and data was preceded by the local Security Sub-Directorate in cooperation with the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Corps of Northern Greece. A police investigation followed, in the framework of which it was found that, on March 3 and 4, the owner of the pharmacy made false registrations of negative diagnostic tests – rapid test, for the two police officers.

According to ELAS, from the subsequent combined evaluation and analysis of pre-investigation data (physical surveillance, data from the Department of Medicines and Pharmacies and H.D.I.K.A.), it emerged that between November 21, 2021 and February 27, 2022, the owner of the pharmacy as well as its former employee, performed at least 16 more false negative diagnostic records checks for one police officer, one military and five individuals.

In addition, during a search of the pharmacy owner, 32 drug tablets were found in her possession and confiscated, without the required prescription.

The arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutor, while the investigation, to verify the full extent of the above illegal activities, continues.
