Today, at 09:30, the meeting of PNO representatives is expected to take place with the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Christos Stylianidis, in an attempt to find a solution.

At noon, according to the Athens Agency, a new meeting of the PNO Executive Committee will be held in order to take its final decisions as the three-day meeting of October 28 follows. On the issue of collective labor agreements, the Association of Passenger Shipping Companies (SEEN) has returned to the dialogue table with a new proposal that fully covers inflation and foresees 5% for 2025 and 2% for 2026.

The previous proposal provided for an increase of 3%, while the Association of Passenger Shipping Businesses reminds that for the years 2023-2024 passenger shipping crews received cumulatively, a total increase in their wages of more than 11%. However, trade union sources from the Panhellenic Maritime Federation noted that from 2010-2019 the increase in collective agreements was a total of 6.5%.
